Quantitative Scoring for Quiz Software Reviews

Here at robpowellbizblog.com, we apply a rigorous scoring system to the products we review.

This page explains how we rate and review quiz software.

Evaluation Scores for Each Key Feature

Each quiz platform that we review is given an overall score, expressed as a percentage (e.g. 83 out of 100, or 83%).

That figure is based on eight individual criteria that are also given a score out of 100:

  • UI and UX
  • Integration and Compatibility
  • Customization Options
  • Lead Generation
  • Templates
  • Reporting and Analytics
  • Customer Support and Documentation
  • Price and Value for Money

Weighted Values for More Important Features

When reviewing quiz software, some criteria are more important than others.

For example, user interface is more important than customization and templates because it measures how easy or difficult it is to use the software itself (the app may have great customization options and wonderful templates, but if you can’t work out how to use the quiz builder, then those other criteria are irrelevant).

And that’s why we apply a weighted scoring system. That way, we can ‘weight’ the more important criteria so that they play a greater role in determining the overall score:

FeatureWeighting
UI and UX20%
Integration and Compatibility 10%
Customization Options15%
Lead Generation15%
Templates10%
Reporting and Analytics10%
Customer Support and Documentation10%
Price and Value for Money10%

The Overall Score

The overall score for the product is the combined total of the individual scores multiplied by the weighting values for each feature:

We believe this rating system ensures the most accurate and objective evaluations of the products that we review.
